The client is a leading Grocery Store company with over 100 locations and 10,000 employee members. They represent hundreds of communities and support nearly 5,000,000 customers. Their training program was being conducted either onsite or in a classroom environment and did not provide the required by their legal and safety management.

Business Problem: The company was conducting their training via a classroom training model. Onboarding new employees was difficult, time consuming and expensive. The training content was outdated therefore hard to absorb and expensive to develop. The critical business issue was delivering safety-based training to such a diverse group of employees and then managing the compliance management and tracking efforts for the business. The legal team was investing significant time managing OSHA and employee related concerns which the system now manages.

The result was an ineffective and very expensive training program that was not producing the training results for the business or providing the legal support relative to compliance audit and management.

Solution Provided: We provided them with a private, cloud-based instance of the eFront Learning Management System. The branching capability of eFront enabled them to create custom learning environments for each of their locations allowing store managers to manage and have insight into their training. Leveraging branching provided ultimate flexibility for each location and control for corporate making it easy to get everyone on board. The system has been integrated into their custom HRIS system and eFront is updated daily allowing new employees to begin work much faster than before.

Business Benefits: Our customer was able to rapidly, and inexpensively, get a new system in place and serving their employee base in record time. They have limited travel time for both field and corporate employees and are able to onboard employees much faster and economically. They now have a system in place with the record keeping capability to support the safety and legal teams should issues arise. Leadership is now using the system to broadcast messages to the entire company building even a stronger sense of community for the business.
